Great game but...
Don’t get me wrong this game is great and all it has beautiful graphics and I’ve been playing nearly for 2 years now, and I’ve been wondering: whatever happened to the monthly relic hunt promise, devs I know your really busy making new characters but please make a relic hunt I’ve been waiting for the next relic hunt for about 3 months now and I’ve really wanted to unlock Shao Kahn, aside from that this game is great I haven’t been getting any ads and haven’t been using an ad blocker because I want to support the devs if an ad comes up, you should really download this game if you like the console version of Mortal Kombat. Some things I would like to see added: 1# Some AVP Characters like different versions of the predators and different versions of the aliens. 2# I’d like to see the Shao Kahn relic hunt either time to complete it increased or the relic hunt made easier. 3# An option to increase and lower the graphics, Don’t get me wrong the graphics are beautiful but it’d be great to be able increase the graphics to the console level of graphics. 4# Souls made easier to get, it’s pretty hard to get souls unless you level up or complete a challenge. 5# Maybe some dodge moves and jumping behind your opponent like in the console version. And last but not least, You guys are great to be able to port a console game and pc game into a mobile game and make it free!
Card Packs are a bunch of bull

If you are just starting out, the game is great. Once you get to higher levels and start maxing our characters, it becomes a money pit. I have 9 out of 39 challenge characters maxed. Whenever I buy an Elite Pack, which supposedly has a 7% chance for a diamond character and a 93% chance for a challenge character, I seem to get ONLY the 9 characters I’ve already maxed (even though in theory all the challenge characters should have the same drop rate). In 20 packs I’ve gotten 0 diamonds and only 6 characters that weren’t already maxed out. Each pack costs 360 souls. That means I have essentially wasted around 5000 souls in exchange for literally nothing. That’s when I started to get suspicious that not every card was available in the pack, or that the drop rates were structured to increase once you get a character maxed out.
I contacted WB games about this, and thus began a 4 day long email thread in which they would email me back approximately once a day. The first 3 days they literally ignored my question, giving me info that didn’t have to do with what I asked. Finally, when it became clear I wasn’t going to drop the subject, they said “we don’t have that information. Ask other players on the community forums!”
In summary, the game is fun, but the transactions are BS and the developers will outright refuse to help you if you ask them a question. I’d give them 5 stars if it weren’t for those issues.
Great game but inconsistent update scheduling
I have been playing this game for close to 3 years now ever since a few months following the release. I have been and will be playing on a consistent basis for a long time to come. However, my concern on the updates for the game are not peachy. The game feels stale after not having new characters join the roster after a month, and I love playing faction wars don’t get me wrong... but I would love to see some new characters more often then we are getting them, and at the time of writing this, it has been 4 months since the last update during Halloween season. I am very excited to see what the new update has to offer following the release of mk11, but in the meantime, I’m happy with a new challenge, or a better way to get rare characters other than spending my hard earned souls on an elite pack and getting a dark raiden or an unstoppable Jason. With the implantation of the quest system, sure gaining the souls have been easier but in my personal opinion, more challenges or a shorter time between challenges would be great. It feels way to long after I beat a challenge on the first or second day to wait 5 day for another one to come. I love the game but it can sometimes be frustrating. I hope you consider some of my feedback and make the game excellent for everyone!
