I'm running 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate. I downloaded Adobe Acrobat Reader 9.3 for Windows 7 from the Adobe website. I saved the .exe file to my hard drive and ran it from there (as opposed to running it within my web browser).

I tried downloading the .msi file itself from http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.3/enu/AdbeRdr930_en_US.ms i When I click on it the windows installer appears on my screen for less than 3 seconds and then disappears. Nothing happens, no error message, nothing.

I tried enabling the hidden administrator account by running a command prompt as administrator and entering 'net user administrator /active:yes', and then installing the program from that account. It made no difference, the windows installer still crashes.

So far all other programs I've tried to install, BitTorrent, VLC Media Player, etc, have gone smoothly. The problem seems to be isolated to Acrobat Reader.
